It’s Teatime in Lüneburg!

‘It's teatime in Lüneburg!’. In the historic ambience of Kloster Lüne, guests can expect an afternoon full of enjoyment, conviviality and British humour at the highest level. On 15 June 2025, the Lüneburg club of Soroptimist International, the world's largest NGO of working women, invites you to a very special afternoon tea.
In the best tradition of English tea time, scones, fine sandwiches, sweet pastries, aromatic tea and fragrant coffee will be served - in proper style and with great attention to detail, of course. After all, teatime is not just a culinary ritual, but a social event where people come together, chat, laugh - and leave everyday life behind for a moment.
The humorous flavour of the afternoon is provided by none other than Mark Lyndon, British actor, author and presenter - or as the Hamburger Abendblatt calls him: ‘The Englishman from the Elbe’. For over 40 years, he has been poking fun at the peculiarities of German and English culture with a keen sense of observation, subtle irony and typical British understatement - always charming, never offensive and guaranteed to make you laugh.
The net proceeds from the event will be donated in full to social projects in the region - a treat for a good cause!
Admission: €38, tickets can be ordered by e-mail at: info@clublueneburg.soroptimist.de or at the Lüneburg Tourist Information Centre directly at the town hall/market (plus €3 advance booking fee)
