Isemarkt: Friday morning, 10 a.m. at the Hoheluftbrücke subway station.
It is considered the most beautiful weekly market in Hamburg and is also one of the longest in Germany. Over 70 years of tradition, more than 200 traders and sheltered from the rain under the entire length of the elevated railway viaduct, the Isemarkt connects the beautiful districts of Eimsbüttel and Eppendorf. Let's go on a culinary journey of discovery with the best our region has to offer...
On our tour you will explore this famous weekly market together with one of the chefs from Hobenköök and get to know the market and its operators from a very special side. Because unlike most of the market visitors, we know the majority of the stand operators and producers personally and we have long-standing partnerships and friendships.
So let's get to know some of them, have a chat and taste their products and learn a lot in the process and become aware again of the treasures our region produces and enjoy the colorful hustle and bustle of the market. On our tour you can get to know and taste Hamburg in 7 small but delicious dishes. We won't reveal what they are yet, but you can be sure: it will be super tasty and no one will leave the Isemarkt hungry!
After our lovely weekly market tour, we go to Elbgold for a coffee together. The Hamburg roastery is known and popular for its selected fair trade coffee varieties and is now making sure that we can end the tour comfortably with a chat.
What you can look forward to on our Isemarkt tour:
- 7 delicious dishes and tastings at the Isemarkt market stalls
- Chatterbox with farmers, stand operators and Thomas Sampl
- Coffee and chat at Elbgold Café
