Im Dickicht der Städte - Farbholzschnitte u.a. von Martin Gietz
- Exhibition
The exhibition "In the Thicket of Cities" will feature large-format color woodcuts, etchings, drawings and paintings by Martin Gietz.
In the work of the trained art educator and graphic designer, the printing techniques of multi-coloured relief printing (woodcuts and linocuts), intaglio printing (etchings) and planographic printing (lithographs) play an important role.
Martin Gietz is also happy to perform these prints live in front of an audience. Visitors can enjoy them here at Reinbek Castle at both the vernissage on Sunday, November 24, 2024 and the finissage on January 12, 2025 .
His works depict the chaos of large cities and the people living in them, show building activity and landscapes. There are works such as "Jakarta", "New Tower of Babel", "City Lights" and "Factory Hall" alongside works with titles such as "Wilde Wiese Stolpe", "Vincent's Starry Night", "Blossoming Cherry Tree" and "On the Havel".
Our visitors can expect a particularly diverse exhibition in artistic, technical and thematic terms!
