The first exhibition by the Canadian artist TWOTONE is dedicated to decorative pop art and takes place in the Hamburger KUNSTGalerie Jupiter Hamburg / Mönckebergstraße 2-4 / 2nd floor.

The content is about the popular cultural mainstream - a conscious turn to simplicity and triviality. Private individuals (YOU), German and international icons from contemporary culture such as music, dance and film are portrayed.

With the title of the exhibition "ICONS AND YOU" TWOTONE wants to show how every private person can be elevated to the status of an icon using the twotone technique.

Typical of his two-tone style portraits is the clean technique and the reduced color, which give the portraits a very calm and clear, but extremely expressive effect. This extremely impressive form of painting, reduced to two colors, is known as Decorative Pop Art.
