The Hamburg DOM is one of the city's most traditional folk festivals and offers a diverse mix of rides, games and entertainment, food stalls and classic fairground attractions.
Its origins date back to the Middle Ages: merchants, craftsmen, and entertainers sought shelter in the then Hamburg Cathedral (St. Mary's) during bad weather. Since the end of the 19th century, the DOM has been held on the Heiligengeistfeld.
Wednesdays are family days with numerous discounts on rides, amusements, and games, as well as special food and drink offers. On selected dates, a fireworks display complements the program.
