Gezeiten am Kakaograben
- Exhibition
The tidal channel north of the nature reserve "Rhinplate and Elbe bank south of Glückstadt" is known locally as the "Cocoa Ditch". The name refers to the brown discoloration of the water, caused by the waste water from the Temming company (now Steinbeis). Christine Berg and Margarete Olschowka are fascinated by this gem on the Elbe and have independently captured the seasons and times of day there photographically for decades. The two nature lovers have also documented the tides, the ebb and flow times with their peculiarities, as well as the residents. The Glückstadt Elbe tributary, with which the Cocoa Ditch is connected, runs in the current shadow of the island of Rhinplate. The title of the photo exhibition "GeZeiten" alludes to a wide variety of topics and perspectives.
