Gartenwissen @hortus - Botanischer Sondergarten | Eine blühende Oase
- City Walks
with Helge Masch - For 99 years, a blooming oasis has been located directly on the Wandse. Founded in 1926 by the Wandsbek Teachers' Association as a school garden, the Wandsbek Botanical Special Garden is now a place where native and exotic plants can be viewed. This two-hour tour takes you to the greenhouse and the 1.5 hectare open-air area, as well as the approximately 10 hectare Wandse green belt. The director of the special garden, Helge Masch, who has worked here for 42 years, will talk about the history, present and future and answer all questions. The focus is on the concept, exciting plants, but also the connection between flora and fauna in times of climate change.
