Pilgrimage on the Via Baltica with Heike Götz

This evening, Heike Götz will take the audience on her pilgrimage along the "Via Baltica". This wonderful route in northern Germany runs for around 600 km from Usedom to Bremen through the venerable Hanseatic cities of Greifswald, Rostock, Wismar, Lübeck and Hamburg. A discovery of northern Germany at its most beautiful, slowly and with open eyes and hearts - Heike Götz experienced this route as a pilgrim.

In a very personal style, Heike Götz reports on her pilgrimage through her northern German homeland. She and her husband have been on various pilgrimages in Spain, Germany and Japan for many years. Pilgrimage is a real matter of the heart for both of them. They walked every kilometer themselves, stayed overnight in community centers and experienced all the ups and downs along the way.

Heike Götz, who comes from Grimmen in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, has been presenting the popular programme “Landpartie – Im Norden unterwegs” for NDR since 1999 and has become a trademark of NDR television as “the woman with the bicycle”.
