Don Pasquale, an older, wealthy man who wants a young, modest wife, meets the young couple Ernesto and Norina in Donizetti's opera. All that's missing for the two to be in great love is a financial blessing. Malatesta, a doctor friend of his, develops a clever plan, which ultimately creates the perfect intrigue and makes Don Pasquale the plaything of the young people.
