Die Prinzessin auf der Erbse - Henneberg Bühne
- Theatre
King Egon and Queen Elvira of Hereditary Salonia are looking for a bride for their son, Prince Erik. She should be pretty and clever, have a good heart and be extremely sensitive. But finding a bride turns out to be difficult. Strangely ill-mannered princesses come forward who would be pretty enough for the good-natured king, but the entire court is against it. This leaves the king speechless: he has never heard anyone talk back before! Even little Princess Elli is not very fond of the shrill princesses, even though they are extremely funny.
When one evening an inconspicuous girl, drenched in rain, knocks on the castle gate and claims to be a princess, Prince Erik is smitten. And everyone else takes Mia into their hearts too - except for the king. He doesn't believe that she is a princess and suspects that a simple farmer's daughter wants to woo the future king of Erbsalonia. So he sets her not just one but two difficult tasks that she has to complete. Only if she passes both can he agree to marry his son. A pea will ultimately decide the princess's fate. It's about pea puree, mint leaves and the Erbsalonian anthem! And of course a lot of mattresses.
Mia and all the other princesses and the entire court are already rehearsing hard. Come along and enjoy the fairy tale, we look forward to seeing you.
