In November 1844, Heinrich Heine traveled from Paris to Hamburg across foggy Germany. He condensed the events and places he encountered along the way into sharp-tongued verses. With his travel pictures, Heine gave us an insight into the social life of his time and still amazes us with the relevance of his words 180 years later. A journey through time from 1844 to today.
