The Circle is a ritual solo performance with live music and authentic instruments and melodies. The story is inspired by the Persian poem The Conference of the Birds by the Sufi poet Farid ud-Din Atta, which is one of the most important works of Persian literature. The performance invites the audience to witness a transformation that the narrator goes through on his journey and search for self-knowledge and wisdom. The Persian verse epic The Conference of the Birds has already inspired many artists, including Peter Brook for his 1979 film of the same name.
