Ritual Dance Weekend Workshop with Stephanie Bangoura and Massa Dembélé

Look forward to a dance jam to get you started, and optionally, a whole weekend full of dance experiences, where you'll be carried by the group. Musicians from Africa will accompany you live. Feel, express, and let go. Art, dance therapy, and spirituality flow together.

Friday: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Saturday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Sunday: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

In the dance ritual, we will create a safe space together in which emotions are experienced and reflected upon in a self-determined way. Each dance workshop focuses on an archetypal emotion.

Pride reveals the self and one's own space. In the myth of pride, self-assertion and boundaries are fought for, defended, and maintained. When pride is connected to the heart and one's own clarity about boundaries, self-stability, autonomy, and charisma emerge.

We practice appreciation, openness, and acceptance of everything that is. This promotes self-confidence and self-healing.

As always in Ritual Dance Pedagogy, all bodies and dance experience levels are welcome.
