Bürohäuser statt Matrosen, Rotlicht und Glitzermeile?

An amusing tour of the Kiez in St. Pauli
Our tour focuses on the area around the Reeperbahn in the entertainment district of St. Pauli. As early as 1795, artists and jugglers settled here in front of the city gates on the "Hamburger Berg". With the steamships, the sailors and therefore pubs and brothels came to the "sinful mile". But red light and glitter mile are now increasingly being replaced by high-rise office buildings and luxury apartments. The Bernhard-Nocht-Quartier follows the Bavaria-Quartier. The old cult petrol station and the "Esso skyscrapers" have already been demolished. A change process with an uncertain outcome.
After our tour there is still the opportunity to stop in a cozy pub.
