The Waldmühle library offers a picture book cinema as part of its event program for the youngest library visitors.
The picture book on display is: “Frau Sonntagsimmerzwei” by Nina Hundertschnee.
About the plot: Mrs. Sunday-always-two is not a particularly conspicuous hen, but she is very dutiful. She lays an egg every day - only two on Sundays. But on Easter Sunday, of all days, there isn't a single egg in her nest! Instead, she finds a strange pink thing in it. She floats with it into the sky and to Hollywood Beach. Everything there is much more mysterious and glamorous than in the henhouse. Out of sheer excitement, Mrs. Sunday-always-two lays a few eggs on the spot. They look so different: very colorful and beautiful. Before she knows it, Mrs. Sunday-always-two is an egg artist with her own exhibition, woo! But at some point the hustle and bustle becomes too much for her. How does she get back to her quiet henhouse?
About a chicken that accidentally becomes a Hollywood star at Easter and lives the California Dream. A picture book to dream away and come home to.
Children aged 4 and over are invited.
