In the fleeting moments between wakefulness and the dream world lies a borderland from which the music of Auri originates. Founded in 2011 by Johanna Kurkela, Tuomas Holopainen and Troy Donockley, Auri was introduced to the world in 2018. With Kai Hahto on percussion, the trio creates unique musical worlds. Auri’s music combines Tuomas’ keyboard instruments, Troy’s folk instruments and Johanna’s delicate voice to create an impressive tapestry of sound. The music is a mixture of Celtic folk and cinematic pop that cannot be pinned down to a specific genre. Auri offers an emotional journey through fantastic soundscapes and invites you to experience new adventures.
