The ALEXANDER von HUMBOLDT II, one of the world's most impressive sailing ships, is a loyal participant in this traditional maritime festival and will welcome visitors with a series of exciting events on board. The ship was commissioned in 2011 and is operated by the German Sail Training Foundation. With the ALEX-2, the foundation aims to introduce everyone interested to the knowledge and values of traditional seamanship at sea.
