Also this year there will be a festive reunion with St. Mark's Advent in the district of Hoheluft in St. Mark's church square. The trendy, cozy Advent market impresses with its sustainable and regional concept and the many lovingly designed books. Here locals and friends of the neighborhood find goods produced in a fair way and many actions that make not only the adults, but also the children's eyes shine. A great concern of the Advent season is to support charity and to do good: faithful to the spirit of Christmas.

The children will get their money's worth at this wintry-festive market and can shorten the waiting time until Christmas Eve with many nice actions: on the program are a merry ride in the carousel and the popular wish list on December 6th, where the young guests will be can write down their dearest wishes together with Nicholas. Every Wednesday "Bernd performs with the guitar", which is already well known and, above all, very popular with the children of the district. Bernd has the most beautiful children's songs and animates the young visitors playfully to participate. Under the motto "children help children", the young visitors are also encouraged to donate one or the other of their own toys and to pack gift packages for all those children who may not find a package under Christmas tree on Christmas Eve. These gifts go to Hamburg women's shelters.

But even adults expect a musical program on many evenings - matching the trendy "after-work mulled wine", which is available every Thursday with live DJ. Further highlights are the performances of various choirs and singer-songwriters, who promise a contemplative time with their sounds. In a cozy atmosphere, it can be so hot sound with hot drinks, chat and chat.

The charity idea runs through the St. Mark's Christmas market like a red thread: On Charity Monday (9th December), half of all market stall sales go to a charitable organization. So the mulled wine tastes twice as good! The charity hut, which is also on the market, is provided free of charge to surrounding dealers and farm shops on a daily basis - instead of a stand rental, the participants are invited to donate a portion of their sales to the "Ankerland eV" - an initiative which aims to provide Heavily traumatized children and adolescents care. Kittens, schools and clubs also have this service at their disposal.

But that's not all: Under the motto "Pack Your Package", all visitors are invited during Advent to deliver gift packages for the homeless in the market at the Glühweinstand and in the church, which will be handed over to the needy by the organizer bjp at the traditional Hamburg Christmas dinner in the Hofbräuhaus ,

Of course, the physical well-being of a Christmas market must not be neglected: in the nostalgic wooden huts of the market, only regional and fair products are offered. For example, when choosing their drinks, visitors can choose between mulled wine from regional production, lagoon punch, homemade apple punch with the juice of the action "Money hangs on the trees" and cocoa made from real chocolate. The food offers the classics of wintry cuisine - both hearty and sweet leaves the visitors mouth watering.
