On the four Advent weekends before Christmas, this year it can also be gazed on three floors of the Koppel 66 for Christmas gifts and useful things.
On every fair there is something new to discover! The selection of the exhibitors is always slightly modified. For the first time, the wooden designer Hanjo Bergeest was presented with high-quality toy car sets made of untreated wood which he developed together with educators. Hand-colored prints and playful accessories made of aluminum sheet will inspire the visitors or the charming colorful figures of the Russian artist Kira Kottliar. Also the especially large selection of handmade hats: This time, two new fashionists (Hats on Stage and Bernhard Westermann) have found a place on the show - in addition to the varied collections already offered by craftsmen of the house. This year, everyone who appreciates the exquisite hat-couture will surely find the right one and fashionably well "guarded" and happily leave the paddock 66.
The quality and originality of the exhibitors is high. Many of them have received prestigious prizes and are already bidding in the early summer for one of the approximately 70 possible places at the four adventures of the Adventsmesse. Visitors and exhibitors love the atmosphere in the listed building in the middle of St. Georg, built in the style of the new Sachlichkeit in the 1920s as a machine factory in the style of the Hamburg architect and city guide Fritz Schumacher.
The audience favorites among the exhibitor guests are not missing this time either. About Steve Tomashek, called "Mini-Steve". He expands the army of his tiny carved figures of wood each time around a few lovable animal shapes. Sylvia Wegner will once again be enthusiastic about her fans with her elegant leather bags, and Bernd Burmeister will make hobby cooks happy with handmade high carbon knives. Visitors who have already discovered that, in addition to a wide selection of imaginative jewelry, fashion, Accessories and textiles in the subparterre individual carpets and handmade soaps, this year perhaps will find out what exciting art is to be admired in the studio Sazarin. The studio was the first one that the artist Michael Sazarin had brought to the founding of the sponsoring club Koppel 66 - and that was already 35 years! This year, the artisans celebrated their anniversary with the friendly neighborhood.
If you do not find anything suitable, you can comfort yourself in the cozy Café Koppel with vegetarian - gluten-free and vegan - treats, of which there are always a few special features more than usual.
