I hear there are people who have never seen Erdmöbel live. Erdmöbel? There are even said to be people who only know this band from hearsay. And yet the Süddeutsche Zeitung declared Erdmöbel to be the »greatest German band of our time« back in 2010 and DIE ZEIT wrote: »As if Gottfried Benn, Hans Christian Andersen and the Pet Shop Boys had founded a band together.« This band is a phenomenon. They are a fantastic live band. They are on the radio. They have die-hard fans, including a number of celebrities. There are duets with Ulrich Matthes, Maren Eggert, Judith Holofernes and Désirée Nosbusch. And every year in December, thousands – if not tens of thousands, because there are whole families – wait for the annual Erdmöbel Christmas song.
