The DLRG Hamburg is celebrating its centenary this year. It looks back on a long and successful history of training beginners and lifeguards, as well as on the volunteer-run water rescue service on Hamburg's waterways. A spectacular boat parade on the Elbe River, featuring watercraft from across Germany, will showcase the DLRG's extensive portfolio of operational capabilities. 100 years - 100 boats: The planned boat parade is more than just a festive parade. It symbolizes the DLRG's constant readiness and versatility in water rescue services and disaster relief. Specially trained emergency units such as motor rescue boats of various sizes and shapes, drift rescuers, divers, and drones (UAVs) are on call around the clock to save lives and provide technical assistance.
