The HoheLuftschiff is Hamburg's floating children's theatre. In the middle of the city on the Isebek Canal, the lovingly converted barge invites all families and children to discover the colourful world of theatre.
Theatre for the very youngest
Especially the very youngest children from the age of 3 can gain their first theatre experience on the HoheLuftschiff. In the cosy belly of the ship, there are bears and bees, little astronauts and, of course, the odd Christmas elf on the theatre stage. A very special place for children's culture!
Children's theatre from all over Hamburg
The HoheLuftschiff is the permanent home of the touring ensemble Theater Zeppelin, develops its own HoheLuftschiff theatre production every year and is also a stage for current productions from the Hamburg theatre scene. In addition to the performances, workshops, theatre projects and courses take place on the HoheLuftschiff in cooperation with schools and privately.
Water rat and land mouse
With its theatre stage in the belly of the ship and an expansive foyer with a view of the water, the HoheLuftschiff is an extraordinary place for children and adults alike. The ship is moored in the middle of the city on the Isebek Canal and invites young and old to discover the world of theatre for themselves. In the summer months, the mobile stage, the LuftKiste, also serves as an open-air theatre for its own festivals.
