The FUNDUS THEATER in Hamburg's Hamm district directs its programme at children between the ages of three and twelve - sometimes more for the younger ones, sometimes more for the older ones.
The fact that Hamburg has a unique and multifaceted theatre landscape is demonstrated not only by the large state theatres, but above all by the small niche theatres that offer a lovingly designed programme for a wide variety of target groups. The theatre moved in 2022 and is now located at Platz der Kinderrechte (Sievekingdamm 3) in Hamburg Hamm, right next to the Burgstraße underground station. With more than 200 events a year, FUNDUS THEATER | Forschungstheater is aimed at the theatre-goers of tomorrow. The repertoire includes its own plays as well as guest productions from Germany and abroad. The productions are aimed at children of different age groups and are tailored to the needs of young theatre-goers. Another special feature is the research theatre, which offers exciting insights into art, culture and science in its own laboratory space. The children's theatre house for all generations in Hamburg-Mitte celebrates its opening on 9 September 2022.
