In 2016, Unesco included German-language poetry slams in the list of intangible cultural heritage for Germany. Kampf der Künste

Kampf der Künste is considered one of the largest organizers of poetry slams in all of Europe and has probably had just about every well-known slammer on its stages. In their hometown, for example, the Hamburg-based company hosts slams on large stages such as the Ernst Deutsch Theater and Schauspielhaus, but also in bars and clubs and on outdoor stages.
