The international Hamburg airport is serviced by numerous airlines from about 125 destinations. Easy access via public transport, car or taxi
The Hamburg Airport is one of a few airports in Europe, which is situated near the city centre and is easily accessible with public transportation. Since 2008 the new Airport Plaza with the central security check connects both Terminal. After passing the security check, passengers can visit the 40 shops, HEINEMANN Duty Free and the various restaurant offers, including the .
Suburban railway line S1 to the airport
The suburban train station at Hamburg Airport is located directly under the Airport Plaza. Above the modern guidance system, four large lifts and eight escalators take travellers directly into the Plaza and the terminals.
The station at the airport is generally served by the S1 line from Wedel/Blankenese and Altona via Central Station; trains run at 10-minute intervals. The journey time is 25 minutes. So travellers do not have to change, trains from the city centre are divided in Ohlsdorf - the front of the train goes to the airport, the rear carriages to Poppenbüttel.

The taxi zones are located in the arrivals areas behind the exits from Terminal 1 and 2 A journey to the city centre is about 10 km and costs between 20,00 to 25,00 Euros. Parking
There are four different car park terminals at Hamburg Airport for short-term parking. In addition, two Holiday Park areas have almost 4,000 parking spaces to start a relaxing holiday with your own car. A shuttle bus takes you from the Holiday Park area directly to the terminal.
