The sun is shining, the flowers are blooming and summer is in the air - is there anything better than packing your picnic basket, putting your blanket under your arm and going to the park with your family or friends? Hamburg's barbecue and picnic areas invite you to relax outside and enjoy delicious snacks and grilled specialities.
1.Stadtpark (City Park)
The classic barbecue site: Hamburg's green lung offers space for all imaginable summer activities and has two designated barbecue areas: the Festwiese and the Wiese west of the swimming pool.
2.Alsterwiesen (Alster Meadows)
Grilling and chilling with Skyline: The Alsterwiesen also offer a place by the water. Here there are several places to grill. Especially popular on the east bank: the meadow at the Alsterperle/Schwanenwik (official barbecue area). But there are also numerous picnic and barbecue areas on the west bank of the Alster.
3.Öjendorfer Park
Forest, meadows and water: Hamburg's third-largest park in the east of the city offers several barbecue areas and a fire pit. There is also an adventure playground for children.
4.Altona Balkon
A special kind of park: Hamburg's largest balcony offers an extraordinary view of the Elbe and its surroundings. In the adjacent park you will also find a playground that is particularly popular with children thanks to the surrounding sandstone animals.
