Start the morning with sightseeing. HafenCity and Speicherstadt attract visitors with modern and historical architecture and highlights such as the Elbphilharmonie Concert Hall and the UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition, there are exciting exhibitions and worlds of experience. In the Dialoghaus Hamburg in the heart of the Speicherstadt, you can feel and explore with your own senses how blind or deaf people perceive their environment. The interactive Greenpeace exhibition provides information about our consumer behaviour and the protection of the environment.
Break with regional delicacies
A few steps further on, you can put what you have learned into practice right away during a break: The Weltcafé ElbFaire offers vegetarian and vegan delicacies made from regional ingredients and the finest Fairtrade coffee. Would you like to enjoy typical North German food? Then head to Hobenköök - the restaurant and market hall with one of the most sustainable value chains in Hamburg. Almost next door, the Oberhafen canteen awaits you. Built in 1925 as one of Hamburg's last "Kaffeeklappen", it provided coffee and lunch for the working people in the free port. The crooked little house is now a listed building and still delights with its charm and good down-to-earth and regional cuisine.

The old town between Alster and Steinstraße is a paradise for shopping fans. Among the shops are some "green" gems: in the store of Grüne Erde you will find everything from eco-furniture to green fashion and natural cosmetics that your fair heart desires.
