Hamburg's city park is worth a visit in itself. The miniature golf course in the city park offers you a lot of fun with 18 holes. For 3.50 € you can swing the clubs for a round. The kiosk at the course provides you with all kinds of drinks, snacks and sweets. No place free at the moment? No problem: the idyllic surroundings invite you for a nice walk. Afterwards, the little ones can let off steam on the adjacent playground. Dogs are also very welcome!

Our tip: The candy bags delight not only children and give rise to nostalgic feelings.

In spring, Hamburg turns into a fragrant sea of blossoms. The Loki Schmidt Garden is definitely a hotspot to admire the flowering splendor. With its more than 5,000 plant species, there's plenty to discover. Here you can take a journey from Japan, to Alaska, to South America, as the plants are arranged by region. Admission is free of charge.

Our tip: Hier geht es etwas ruhiger zu als beispielsweise im Stadtpark. Perfekt für ein Picknick und eine Pause vom Sightseeing.

Stroll, feast and enjoy the first warm days. You can do this on Tuesdays and Fridays in a cosy atmosphere at the Isemarkt in Eppendorf. It is one of the largest weekly markets in Germany and a real Hamburg institution. Since 1949, the stalls have been winding their way under the railway bridge from Hohenluftbrücke to Eppendorfer Baum. You can treat yourself to a delicious coffee and discover regional specialities at the many stalls. There is also a sea of spring flowers to take home.

On the white city beach you almost feel like at the sea. Walk along the promenade, climb the lighthouse or enjoy a 1A fish sandwich with a view of the Elbe. Perfect to watch passing ships.

Our tip: At the "Kajüte S.B. 12" you get not only great fish sandwiches and cold drinks. The "ToMo Brötchen" is topped with tomato mozzarella and a real insider tip..

In the east of Hamburg you will find a real café pearl. On a pontoon with lovingly designed furnishings you will find the Entenwerder 1 - a real oasis of calm. From the pink container in the middle of the floating platform, you'll be well supplied with hot and cold treats. A homemade lemonade or a craft beer? A cool drink with a view of the Elbe is perfect to enjoy right on the water's edge. Coffee art is not neglected either. Caffeinated creations are available here from the roastery right next door, Public Coffee Roasters.

Our tip: The golden sculpture on the floating oasis can be walked on and offers you a fantastic view over the Billwerder Bay.

The zoo is a particularly good place to observe the annual spring awakening. The bustle of spring is a particularly exciting time at Hagenbeck Zoo. For many animals, the spring months mean a change of wardrobe: off with the winter fur or plumage and on with the blaze of color. With the warmer days, many animals move back into the outdoor enclosure and if you are lucky, there are even cute animal offspring.

Our tip: During the vacations, children can become polar explorers, animal keepers or marine researchers. Cool experiments, exciting stories and animal observations await the little ones.
